That God of War Saga is kind of different. If the GOTY edition had codes to download the DLC, the disc gets taken in as a normal copy of that game, although we do sometimes just keep the case. Typically, if the DLC is included on the disc (Uncharted 3, Red Dead Redemption, Borderlands), the GOTY edition gets a separate SKU and is filed as a separate game.
UPDATE: Mere hours after I posted this, Amazon put Uncharted 3 on sale for 20 bucks.
I probably still would have purchased it, but I bought it in one of those "buy 2 get one free" promos they do, and I probably would have gotten some more expensive games first, (Skyrim, COD, GTA4) and then downloaded the other two God of War Games, then bought the trilogy.
